Summary of Expertise

Eco-Consult Pacific has established a unique database of specialists to facilitate the identification of suitable candidates for consulting opportunities. All our specialists have extensive expertise in the Pacific Islands; many are nationals of Pacific Island Countries. Since its inception in 1997, this database has expanded to contain well over 1300 registered specialists. We also have developed an extensive network that covers all Pacific Island Countries and includes regional and international institutions from where resources can be identified and sourced.

Eco-Consult Pacific has implemented and provided specialist expertise to projects funded by international organisations such as the South Pacific Forum Secretariat, the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), the European Union (EU), the South Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Asian Development Bank (ADB), New Zealand Official Development Assistance (NZODA), the Centre for the Development of Enterprise (CDE, formerly known as CDI), as well as a number of national governments and their institutions.

To assist with the sustainable development of Pacific Island Countries and Territories, Eco-Consult Pacific established ‘Pacific Vacancies’, a unique free electronic mail service providing information on forthcoming national, regional and international vacancies in the areas of our expertise. This service, which is aimed at reaching specialists at remote locations, has distributed more than 800 vacancies since its inception in March 1998. A recent poll indicated that the service is rated very highly among subscribers. The Company also initiated and developed a number of specialist or topic related electronic networks such as PestNet and Pacific SoilNet, that facilitate the access to and exchange of relevant information by Pacific residents and allow discussions on topic-related problems and issues to the region.

Eco-Consult Pacific invites interested specialists to register in our database by sending us a detailed Curriculum Vitae and a short summary of their expertise.
